3D EIT image reconstruction with GREIT.
Most applications of thoracic EIT use a single plane of electrodes on the chest from which a transverse image 'slice' is calculated. However, interpretation of EIT images is made difficult by the large region above and below the electrode plane to which EIT is sensitive. Volumetric EIT images using two (or more) electrode planes should help compensate, but are little used currently. The Graz co...
متن کاملAn Approach to Extend GREIT Image Reconstruction to 3D
This paper presents a new image reconstruction technique for 3D EIT based on the extension of the 2D GREIT method. Key aspects include the expansion of optimization targets and set of desired images to cover multiple planes. Results show the reduction off-plane interference seen in 2D reconstruction. The selection of target planes is also found to be highly significant to the image.
متن کاملGREIT: a unified approach to 2D linear EIT reconstruction of lung images.
Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is an attractive method for clinically monitoring patients during mechanical ventilation, because it can provide a non-invasive continuous image of pulmonary impedance which indicates the distribution of ventilation. However, most clinical and physiological research in lung EIT is done using older and proprietary algorithms; this is an obstacle to interpret...
متن کاملEIT Image Reconstruction by Modified Data
Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a radiation-free imaging method. Canonically, in lung EIT, 16 electrodes are placed horizontally on the thorax skin. By injecting currents through electrodes attached to the skin, a set of induced voltage measurements can be collected. The conductivity distribution on the chest plane can be obtained from these electrical boundary conditions. It has been ...
متن کاملA Level Set based Regularization Framework for EIT Image Reconstruction
Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) reconstructs the conductivity distribution within a medium from electrical stimulation and measurements at the medium surface. Level set based reconstruction method (LSRM) has gained attention during the last decade as an effective solution to address the need of reconstructing structures with limited amount of available data. The classical LSRM is based on...
